If you dream of white sandy beaches, a relaxed local culture, and extravagant parties like Carnival, you’ll love learning Portuguese in Rio de Janeiro. Situated on the southern coast of Brazil against a dramatic backdrop of lush green mountains, Rio is known as one of the most spectacular cities in the world. Portuguese students can catch the sunset at Ipanema Beach, take in the view from the iconic Christ Redeemer Statue, sample local seafood and caipirinhas, or dance the night away to the exuberant beats of Brazilian samba.

The BridgeBrazil Portuguese school is situated in the Centro downtown area of Rio, occupying its own floor of an office building. Offering 10 climate-controlled classrooms, free WiFi and computer access, and an adjacent café with excellent Brazilian coffee.

BridgeBrazil offers small classes with a maximum of six students per group. We organize weekly teacher-led excursions to Rio attractions, including the Christ the Redeemer Statue, Sugar Loaf Mountain, and more. Portuguese programs can be customized with a specific focus, such as Writing in Portuguese, Portuguese through Music, or Portuguese & Business.
